What is the TAB?

The Franklin Park Public Library Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teen volunteers who are interested in making a difference at the library. The TAB assists the Young Adult Librarian in a variety of tasks, and their efforts have a direct impact on the collection, programming, and services for teens and young adults.

Who can join the TAB?

The TAB welcomes all teens ages 13-18 years old.

When does the TAB meet?

Meetings are held once a month, usually on the last Monday of the month at 6:00pm.

Where is the TAB?

TAB meetings take place in the library's Community Room. Some TAB activities take place in The Square, located on the north side of the library, near the adult computers.

Why should you join the TAB?

  • Because you love books, movies, music, and food!
  • Because the library is not just a place to study. It can be a fun place to hang out!
  • Because being a TAB member earns you service hours and looks really good on college and job applications.
  • Because your input is important to the library.
  • Because it's free!

How do you join the TAB?

Click here to download an application or pick up an application in the Square or at the Reference Desk.
A parent or guardian must also sign the Teen Volunteer Parental Consent Form.
