Franklin Family Graves

Most of the Franklin Family is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, 2905 Thatcher Ave., River Grove, Illinois. Family members buried here include Lesser and Sarah, along with their children: Dora and her husband (Pierre Marion Combes), Pearl and her husband (Wallace Clark), Rose and her husband (Robert Volk) and Gustave King Franklin (never married). Edgington Franklin’s body was cremated and his ashes were buried under a tree near his residence known as “400 Farm,” in Talbot County, Maryland. The Lesser Franklin Family Burial Plot is located in Section 5, at the southeast corner of the cemetery’s Memorial Park. Visit our Flickr page to see the Franklin grave markers.
