Check Out a Watt Detective Kit; Save Energy & Money

We're partnering with ComEd to offer Watt Detective kits, which include an electricity meter and a booklet (in English and Español). Plug the meter into an outlet, and then plug in your appliance. Use the booklet to determine if your appliance is energy-efficient and find ways to save energy and money at home. You can also discover:

• The operating costs of various appliances, such as refrigerators, TVs, computers, etc.
• High-energy use appliances
• Potential savings of using certain appliances less frequently
• Potential savings of replacing older appliances with energy-efficient models
• How much energy appliances use even when switched off
