This nonfiction book weaves medical research, science, and ethical issues to tell the story of Henrietta Lacks and the immortal cell line known as HeLa, that came from her cervical cancer cells in 1951.
5 out of 5 stars. This book deserves 5 stars because the story is astonishing. The fact that her cells lived and continue to live is amazing. Her cells saved lives and allowed for many vaccines to be created. I really liked this story.
